Handy Andy

Andy has been busy getting things done here around our house. He has had a pretty big list of things he wanted to accomplish, and finally the list has shrunk. He has impressed me with his handy work - fixing the garage door, painting Bella's room, building a few things, and many other maintenance things around the house. After he cleaned up the mess from our fence going down, he decided to use some of the wood to build some raised gardens. This is exciting to me, because both of us have wanted a garden for a couple of years now. The only problem is - I am terrible at keeping things alive. Every summer my flowers are usually all dead by July. The problem I have is pretty basic - I forget to water them! Poor flowers. This year I stuck to only 2 pots of flowers even though at the end of last summer I swore I was not going to plant any.....Bad news is the only two I have are already a little sad looking. Anyways, Andy is committed to keeping this garden alive and well! I probably shouldn't even look at the plants in the garden, or they might wilt.

Here is Bella supervising Andy while he finishes building the raised gardens.

Finished gardens! Andy did such a great job. The lettuce, spinach, and beans are already starting to come up.

He also built a sandbox out of the old fence wood for Bella. She loves playing in it!

We are excited for the summer to begin! School is officially out, so I finally get to be home with her again!
