Andy's Dream Come True

Since we have been married (3 years on July 29th), Andy has owned 3 different vehicles! The first month we were married he bought a 1998 Ford Taurus to get him back and forth from Appleton to LaCrosse. When the Taurus broke down last year, he bought a sweet 1999 Buick Century -a green one. Deep down he has always wanted a truck though, so when he was going to buy the Buick I asked him if he'd be satisfied with it for at least 2 years. Of course he said yes and that he wouldn't bring up his desire for a truck for at least 2 years. Here is a picture of Andy with his gorgeous Buick.

Well.....for  months now (only about 6 months of owning the Buick!) he has been talking about trucks! Trucks, trucks, trucks!! He has spent hours searching the internet and the car lots around here for trucks. He kept telling me how useful it would be to have a truck to haul baby stuff for Bumbles. It's all for the good of the baby, right? :)

About 1 week ago he finally purchased the truck he had his heart set on. It is a Nissan Frontier. The day he picked the truck up he was grinning from ear to ear...I've never seen someone so excited about a truck. It is his new baby (until Bumbles comes). He wouldn't even let me eat my Dairy Queen blizzard in it, because he is so protective of the truck! It seemed like the longest 5 minute drive ever from Dairy Queen to our house....just holding this ice cream in my hand and staring at it, wanting to eat it sooooo bad.

Here is a picture of Andy with his new truck. Doesn't he look proud? I don't think he will ever go back to owning a car.

  1. Nice truck Andy!!! I love the new frontiers - they have so much more room!! I just called Jesse over here to see your new ride and he said "I wish we still lived over there we could go check out his new truck!"

Tabby- Jesse was the same way when we got our truck. It was his first truck he ever owned. The very first day of owning the truck Jesse washed, waxed, and cleaned the inside. We just bought it and it only had 7000 miles on it - there wasn't a spec of dirt on it!! Boys and their trucks!!

  2. There is just something that makes guys feel good about owning a truck. I just don't think we can fully understand. Looks great though and glad to see he is so happy. I wonder how long it will be before he lets you eat ice cream in there?
